2024 Member and Volunteer Appreciation Party

The Kansas City Blues Society is excited to present The Houserockers at our Member and Volunteer Appreciation Party for 2024 on July 15, 2024. Please join us as we welcome Kansas City music legends John Paul Drum, Bill Dye, Patrick Recob and Jaisson Taylor to the stage for a laid-back evening of food, fun and great blues music in celebration of our members and volunteers. This year’s Appreciation Party is a pot-luck picnic in the park with live blues music.

Bring friends and guests! Attendees are welcome and encouraged to invite guests at no cost. Please include your guests in the RSVP and encourage them to bring a dish.

We’ll have brats and hotdogs on the grill with all the accompaniments and we will provide tableware. We are asking our members to bring one of their favorite dishes to share with your Kansas City Blues friends.

The event will be in the pavilion at Franklin Park in Prairie Village, KS. We will have a roof over our heads, so this event is rain or shine. The site includes running water, electricity, picnic tables, and bathrooms. The walk to the pavilion is 20-30 yards from the parking lot.

Attendees are welcome to show up any time after 5:30. We plan to eat around 6 with The Houserockers firing up at 6:30 for a two-set evening that will end around 9:30. Map to park: https://maps.app.goo.gl/ANsx24pn1cQSve4s6

We are excited to welcome your guests and friends to our event. We will offer Single and Couple membership discounts that evening to your guests if they join KCBS at the event. This is an opportunity for our members to help us build our blues community.

Please bring your own drinks and be prepared to keep adult beverages in discreet containers and cups. We will have some plastic cups available.

Please mark your calendars, map out the route, plan a dish you like to share and join us for an evening of fun with the KCBS. Please RSVP to blueskc.org@gmail.com with your potluck offering.
