Golfers…you’re still needed to make the 2023 Michael Shannon Musician’s Fund Golf Tournament benefit a success. Michael was the son of our beloved Lindsay and the (late) Jo Shannon of BB’s Lawnside BBQ. This fund supports local musicians who are experiencing financial hardship and is the only annual fundraiser for this cause. If golfing is just not your thing, you can still support the tournament by purchasing a sign to be placed on the hole of your choice with 3 lines of words, at a cost of $100. The tournament will be held on Wednesday, September 6, at Hillcrest Golf Course, 8200 Hillcrest Road, KCMO.
Registration and lunch begin at noon; tournament play starts at 1:00 p.m. It is a 4-person scramble, $100/person, with lunch catered by BB’s Lawnside BBQ, with each participant receiving a t-shirt.
