The Artists

Ralph Willis was born in 1910 in Birmingham, Alabama. He died June 11, 1957 in New York, NY. He was an American Piedmont blues singer, guitarist and songwriter. Some of his Savoy records were released under the pseudonyms Washboard Pete, Alabama Slim, and Sleepy Joe. His famous song is “Christmas Blues” credited to Washboard Pete.

Paul Howard was born September 20, 1895, and died February 18, 1980. He was also known as Carolina Slim.

This album is Delta blues all the way. I give this album an 8 out of 10.
