Review by Craig Whittington

What did this band do during lockdown? Clearly, they got busy and didn’t mess around. Their new release, I Am The Moon, is a 4 album set. I like the band, I’ve seen them several times, and I can tell you, this isn’t the “same ole”. This is better. With twelve pieces, they always had a lot going on, but this set is boundless in what it offers. Music is emotion when it’s done right. This package keeps giving, there is so much to appreciate. Harmony is every where. Sure, it’s a basic component of music, but painfully absent in so much popular music. The Beatles got it, and so does TTB. It sounds so contrary, but Covid was good to the band. WT? Derek’s slide style includes additional notes between steps, so expand your capacity to appreciate the language of our hearts. This trailblazing set can take you where you ain’t never been. A truly inspired release.
