Review by Craig Whittington
I don’t care how old Buddy Guy is, he’s still outta sight! His 34th studio album is of some collaborations with Tom Hambridge, a Beatles cover, a Slim Harpo cover, a BB cover, and one by Jason Isbell, the one he duets on, Gunsmoke Blues. Other guest artists include Wendy Moten, Bobby Rush, James Taylor, Elvis Costello and Mavis. I know, I know. The first number comes out kicking your ass, I Let My Guitar Do the Talking. Bam! This is the Buddy Guy we know, it sure as Hell ain’t no old man. Well Enough Alone hits just as hard. He doesn’t let up, but he changes it up. This is a great blues album by a living legend. How many of those are on the planet these days?
