It was while researching my review for Just Won’t Burn that I ran across universally praise for the album’s lead guitarist, the then 18 year old Sean Costello. Winning a Beale Street Blues Society talent contest at 14, and putting out his first album at 16, We Can Get Together was his fifth and final album, as he died tragically young just months after its release. Of the albums 11 tracks, 9 were penned by Costello, well more than any of his previous albums, and giving us our best look inside the artist that he was and could have been. As I listen to the album track by track to prepare this review, I just love every single cut, 5 out of 5 stars, a modern classic.
