STOP! The wait is over!! Our signature annual blues show, Blues in the Bottoms 2, is finally here. We’ve been waiting for this all year. We have three awesome bands with special guests bringing you an evening tailor-made for the discerning blues lover in you.
Our hometown blues royalty, Nick Schnebelen and his band will perform his magic and feature Carly Harvey, the songbird of Washington, D.C. Ms. Harvey has twice represented the Washington, D.C. blues society at the International Blues Challenge (IBC). Nick provided musical support to Ms. Harvey in 2023 as part of the Big Blues Bender blues festival’s Bender Brass band. Their magic together will delight you as will her powerful vocals.
You will love the sounds of Mississippi Heat featuring vocalist Inetta Visor. This is traditional blues music at its finest! Their vocals meld into a distinctive sound that is uniquely different from others. This band has been on the Blues scene for many years and have performed with some of the biggest names in Blues music. They don’t perform in the Kansas City area often, so here’s a great opportunity for you to become acquainted with their music or if you’re already a fan, come out and enjoy their sound.
The Funky Butt Brass Band has it all, guitars, horns, saxophones, you name it; they have it! They have been entertaining St. Louis audiences and the country with their brand of New Orleans-style brass funk, blues, and soul music. What can make this band even better? Why, Marquise Knox, of course! Adding Marquise to the mix triples your enjoyment of this explosive band. It’s great blues music and a lot of fun.
