Last Hootenanny for Danny

July 18th is Danny’s Birthday!!!

Kent Rausch of Vine Street Rumble and Tom’s Town fame is assembling a small Jazz combo to kick us off!!!

Gene & Val Mackey will bring us a small glimpse of a look into Danny’s theater side!!!

Acoustic Hootenanny portion will feature

Bob Walkenhorst, Kasey Rausch, Lem Sheppard, Fast Johnny Ricker, Bob & Diana Suckiel, trading songs folk-style!!!

Video presentation of Danny… himself… we are told is being created specifically and specially for this event!!!

Family will be singing from the catalog of your favorite Danny Cox songs: his daughter Sunny, his son Joe, his grandson Jamarih, and his granddaughter Sunae!!!

All proceeds will benefit Danny’s grandchildren in a newly created Scholarship Fund!!!

Suggested donation at the door is $20…if you can’t afford anything you’re still welcome…if you can give more please do!!!

An additional event honoring Danny’s life will take place on Sunday, July 20, at 1pm at the Center for Recorded Music. Kelsyn Rooks will host this event, sharing the recording history of Danny Cox.
