Calling all golfers! Here’s your opportunity to support this fund created by Lindsay and (the late) Jo Shannon to honor their son Michael. Michael was a fun-loving person who counted many musicians among his group of friends and loved helping his parents at BB’s Lawnside BBQ.
This golf tournament benefit is the only mechanism for raising the funds necessary to provide support to musicians who are experiencing financial hardship.
The date is Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at Shamrock Golf Course, Lees Summit, MO. Registration, and catered lunch from BB’s Lawnside BBQ, start at noon; tee time is 1:00 p.m. Drinks are provided. It’s a 4-person scramble, $100/person with all proceeds (minus golf club expenses) going to the fund. Each entrant receives swag. There are multiple contests with great prizes such as range finders, Nike golf bag, 3 month car wash, gift certificates, “Putt for the bottle”, and more.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
1. Pre-register and pay at www.Shamrockhills.com
Some people are having trouble signing up. Shamrock Hills uses the app, Golf Genesis as does other golf courses throughout the US. If you used your email address on Golf Genesis at any golf course, you will be asked for your password. If it does this and you don’t know it, you can have it reset OR use another email address. For the 4 person team, you only need one person’s email address.

Click the Details & Signup box – this takes you to Golf Genius

Complete the information. (This is where you put your email address, again if you have used it before it will ask you for a password, to get around this use another team member’s email address or reset your password.)
