Remembering Cindy Terwilliger

The Kansas City Blues Society (KCBS) mourns the passing of our beloved friend, Cindy Terwilliger (Katnip). She was an exuberant blues lover and supporter, a long-time KCBS board member over several years, and just an all-around beautiful person. She enthusiastically pursued life, love, happiness, and blues music with passion. She always had a big bright smile on her face that lit up a room and a twinkle in her eyes that drew you into her world of fun. Cindy was a tireless ambassador for blues music, having personal relationships with many blues legends and traveling around the country to support them and others. As a KCBS board member, she cheerfully did whatever tasks were needed to make the organization successful. She and her close friend, Ladonna Sanders, had a great show on KKFI 90.1 FM, VooDoo Kittens, for many years, spinning blues music and showcasing and supporting local musicians. The VooDoo Kittens show eventually ended when Cindy moved to Denver for her career. Cindy was such a bright light in life and she will be deeply missed by the many people who loved and admired her. Our condolences go out to her family and many friends, but she will always live on through our memories and love. “Party On,” Cindy Terwilliger!
